During the Special Council Meeting held on Thursday 08 December 2022, Item 8.31, the draft Beaufort Wes Municipality Preferential Procurement Policy and amendments to the Beaufort West Municipality Supply Chain Management Policy was approved accepted by Council and is open for inspection and for comments on the municipal website, (www.beaufortwestmun.co.za) and at the Municipal Offices at the office of the Supply Chain Management Unit in the Sanlam Building Shop Nr 7, 112 Donkin Street, Beaufort West.
Community members, please take note that the Library system in the whole Western Cape is down, so no books can be issued since last week. Community members can still bring back all the library material to avoid penalties. Once the system is restored, the public will be notified. If there are any queries you can contact the respective libraries for further information.
Notice is hereby given in terms of Paragraph 27 of the Credit Control and Debt Collection Policy of Beaufort West Municipality, that the Municipality will implement a full block on 16 November 2022 with regards to all prepaid electricity meters. Until the 15th November 2022 a partial block will still apply and the public is requested to ensure that their municipal accounts are paid up to date to ensure that the services are not restricted.
Notice is hereby given that on 1 September 2022, the Municipality issued an incorrect public statement which it now withdraws. The public is advised to purchase prepaid electricity and water through Contour Prepaid Solution (also known as Contour Technology (Pty)Ltd) and its vendors. The Municipality withdraws its statement to use Utilities World.
