PRESS RELEASE: COUNCIL CHANGE

There was a change in the Beaufort West Council on 31 May 2021 during a Council Meeting that was held.

Councillors participated in the election of the Executive Mayor, Deputy Mayor and the Speaker positions.

The newly elected Executive Mayor is Councillor Quinton Louw. The Deputy Mayor is Councillor Latitia Deyce. The Speaker of the Municipality is Councillor Noel Constable.

Council also elected two full time councillors which is Chief Whip of the ANC, Councillor Mcebisi Kilani and Councillor Zukile Lambert.  

Executive Mayor, Councillor Quinton Louw thanked the Speaker, Councillor Noel Constable for his excellent leadership during his time as the Mayor of Council. He said Speaker Noel Constable led the Municipality under extreme difficult time.

Executive Mayor, Quinton Louw said that the appointment of senior management will bring stability in the Municipality. He wished Speaker Noel Constable well on his new journey as Speaker of the Municipality.
