CLOSURE OF DRIVERS LICENCE TEST CENTRE FOR THE FESTIVE SEASON FOR DRIVERS LICENCE TESTS: 07 DECEMBER 2017 – 15 JANUARY 2018

Notice is hereby given that the Drivers Licence Test Centre will be closed for drivers licence tests during the period 07 December 2017 until 15 January 2018. All other functions will continue as normal.

Any inconvenience in this regard is regretted. 

EYE TEST DEVICE: TRAFFIC SECTION

Notice is hereby given that the eye test device to make appointments for learners and drivers licenses is currently out of order. As a result, no appointments can be made for learner -and driver’s license tests  as well as the renewal of driver license cards and PRDPs.

The public is advised to contact the Traffic Department at Tel. No. 023-414 8159 and to enquire whether the device is operational before visiting the office, especially those people from outside Beaufort West. The Traffic Department can only issue temporary driving licenses at present. The public is also encouraged to apply for a new driver license card at least one (1) month before their driving license expires.

The public is also reminded of the office hours during which the public is served. The public is only served between 08: 00-12: 00 Mondays and Fridays, and from 13: 45-15: 00 Monday to Friday. 

PAYMENT OF TRAFFIC FINES

Notice is hereby given that traffic fines issued by the Beaufort West Municipality can not be settled at the Post Office as from 31 May 2018.

According to the Municipality's records the of twelve (12) month period  is due and must all Indigent Subsidies be reviewed. Please visit the following offices from the 03 APRIL 2018 to 30 APRIL 2018 with the documents indicated in the subjoined notice to confirm your financial status.
