Notice No. 61/2018: STOCKTAKING: PUBLIC LIBRARY: CHURCH STREET: 30 JULY 2018 TO 3 AUGUST 2018

Notice is hereby given that the Public Library at Church Street will be closed from 30 July 2018 till 3 August 2018 due to stocktaking.

Please note that from 30 July 2018 till 3 August 2018 no charges will be levied on books that is returned after the return date. 

Notice No. 112/2018: NOMINATION OF PERSONS TO SERVE ON THE AUDIT COMMITTEE OF THE BEAUFORT WEST MUNICIPALITY FOR THE PERIOD 1 JANUARY 2019 UNTIL 30 JUNE 2022 (1 Vacancy)

In terms of Section 166 of the Local Government Act: Municipal Finance Management, Act 56/2003, the Municipality must institute an Audit committee.

Nominations are therefore invited from amongst the community in order to appoint an Audit committee from amongst the nominations to be received.

Notice No. 119/2018: PROPOSED MUNICIPAL LAND USE PLANNING BY-LAW FOR BEAUFORT WEST MUNICIPALITY

Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 58(1) of the Rules of Order regulating the conduct of meetings of the Council read together with Section 12(3)(b) of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act (Act 32/2000) that the Local Council of Beaufort West intends to accept the following by-law:-

Municipal Land Use Planning By-Law for Beaufort West Municipality 

The aforementioned draft by-law will be available for inspection from Mondays to Fridays from 07:30 to 13:00 and 13:45 to 16:15 at the offices of the under-mentioned:-

• Beaufort West:        Corporative Services Office, 112 Donkin Street 
• Merweville:              Municipal Office, Voortrekker Street, Merweville 
• Nelspoort:              Municipal Office, Nelspoort

Oportunity is now being given to the public to forward any comments or proposals in writing with regard to this matter and such comments or proposals must reach the undersigned by not later than MONDAY, 26 NOVEMBER 2018. 

In terms of Section 21(4) on the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act 2000 notice is hereby given that people that are not able to read and write can request any municipal official at any reception office of the Council at Beaufort West, Nelspoort, Merweville and Murraysburg to assist him or her in compiling his or her objection or comment in writing.  

Notice no.118/2018: REQUEST FOR NGO PARTNERSHIP WITH BEAUFORT WEST MUNICIPALITY

Beaufort West Municipality invites suitably positioned not-for-profit entities or NGO’s to partner with the Municipality in its vision to unlock funding sources. Applications will have to be submitted by the NGO or not-for-profit entities in collaboration with Beaufort West Municipality for funding that will support, extend or strengthen service delivery within the Municipality

Notice No. 38/2019: RENEWAL INDIGENT SUBSIDY

According to our records the period of twelve (12) months is due, and Indigent Subsidies must be reviewed. Please visit the  following offices from the 08 APRIL 2019 to 03 MAY 2019 with the following documents to confirm your financial status. If you as the owner do not occupy the site permanently you do not qualify for the subsidy.

1. ID Document
2. Proof of income (All Pay Slip or All Pay Card  / Salary advice / Bank statement )
3. Affadavit if unemployed

The venues will be as follows:

• Hillside Krag kantoor
• United Pentecostal Church  Prince Valley
• YELLOW BUILDING HALL in Nieuveldpark)

Failing to do so, will result in cancellation of subsidy. Please apply on/before 03 May 2019 by 15:30.
