Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 49(1)(a)(i) read with Section 78(2) of the Local Government:
Municipal Property Rates Act of 2004 (Act 6/2004), hereinafter referred to as the "Act" that the FIRST SUPPLEMENTARY VALUATION ROLL 2022 - 2027 is open for public inspection at the municipal offices as well as the Council's website at www.beaufortwestmun.co.za from Friday, 20 May 2022 until Thursday, 30 June 2022.
Please note that any owner of property or other person under the provisions of Section 49(1)(a)(ii) read with Section 78(2) of the Act so may lodge an objection with the Municipal Manager in respect of any matter reflected in, or omitted from, the valuation roll.
Your attention is specifically drawn to the provisions of Section 50(2) of the Act which states that an objection must refer to a specific property and not against the valuation rolls. The objection forms are available on the website www.beaufortwestmun.co.za and at the various municipal offices:
