MEETINGS OF THE LOCAL COUNCIL FOR BEAUFORT WEST FOR THE MONTH APRIL 2019

Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 19 of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act, Act 32 of 2000 that meetings of the Local Council for Beaufort West and the Standing Committees of the Council will meet on the following dates and times during April 2019 stipulated in the sub joined notice.

Notice No. 38/2019: RENEWAL INDIGENT SUBSIDY

According to our records the period of twelve (12) months is due, and Indigent Subsidies must be reviewed. Please visit the  following offices from the 08 APRIL 2019 to 03 MAY 2019 with the following documents to confirm your financial status. If you as the owner do not occupy the site permanently you do not qualify for the subsidy.

1. ID Document
2. Proof of income (All Pay Slip or All Pay Card  / Salary advice / Bank statement )
3. Affadavit if unemployed

The venues will be as follows:

• Kwa – Mandlenkosi Hall
• Rustdene Hall
• Hillside Krag kantoor
• United Pentecostal Church  Prince Valley
• YELLOW BUILDING HALL in Nieuveldpark)

Failing to do so, will result in cancellation of subsidy. Please apply on/before 03 May 2019 by 15:30.

NOTICE NO. 55/2019: SCM 23/2019: PUBLICATION OF NAMES OF BIDDERS IN RESPECT OF ADVERTISED COMPETITIVE, ABOVE THE THRESHOLD OF R200 000.00: BID SCM 23/2019: NOTICE NO. 34/2019

Notice No. 60/2019: WATER RESTRICTIONS

Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 46(1) of the By-Law relating to Water Supply, Notice No. 148/2005 that the following water restrictions applicable to Beaufort West will be imposed with effect from 14 May 2019:-

1. That in terms of Section 46(1)(b)(i) of the By-Law relating to Water Supply, Notice No. 148/2005 the allowed water usage per household per month will be restricted to 15 kilolitre.

       2. That with effect from 14 May 2019 water tariffs relating to water restrictions contained in the 2018/2019 tariffs will be applied.

       3. That in terms of Section 46(1)(c) of the By-law relating to Water Supply, Notice 148/2005, an overall prohibition on the use of garden hoses for the                 watering of gardens, wash of cars, fill up of swimming pools and or dams and for any other such purpose for which a garden hose must be                             connected to the municipal water supply system in Beaufort West be imposed with effect from 14 May 2019.

Notice No. 79/2019 BEAUFORT WEST PUBLIC LIBRARY

Notice is hereby given for Consultation to the public to find out if the Beaufort West Public Libraries should be open or closed on Saturdays. 

We are appealing to the public to make their comments heard via the suggestion boxes at the library.
