Notice no. 111/2020: RETURN OF LIBRARY MATERIAL: BEAUFORT WEST, MERWEVILLE, NELSPOORT AND MURRAYSBURG
As from the 19 August 2020 the public may drop off or return books at the following libraries on Wednesdays and Fridays between 10: 00 and 12:00:
Church Street, Kwa-Mandlenkosi, Mimosa, Merweville, Nelspoort and Murraysburg.
There will be drop off points at all libraries in Beaufort West, Merweville, Nelspoort and Murraysburg. There will be no issuing of any library material to the public at this stage.
Libraries will be reopen as soon as libraries comply with the COVID -19 Regulations.
We will keep you informed.

Notice 45-2021: Amendment of water restrictions - Beaufort West
Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 46(1) of the By-Law relating to Water Supply, Notice No. 148/2005 that the following water restrictions applied to Beaufort West with effect from 1 April 2021:
- Phase 1 water restrictions provided that if a drastic decrease is experienced in the water table of boreholes, water restrictions will be reviewed.
- That phase 1 water tariffs in respect of water restrictions contained in the 2020/2021 tariffs from 1 April 2121, will be applied.
- That in terms of Section 46(1)(c) of the Water Supply By-law, Notice 148/2005, it will continue to apply to the use of garden hoses in Beaufort West for the watering of gardens, washing of cars, fill of swimming pools and/or dams for any other such purpose for which a garden hose must be connected to the Municipal water supply system.

Notice 47-2021: Proposed consent use: Farm 291, Tamboersfontein, Merweville
Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 61 of the By-law on Municipal Land Use Planning for Beaufort West Municipality, Notice No. 21/2019 that the Authorized Official has in terms of Section 60 approved the application for a consent use on the Remainder of Farm 291, Tamboersfontein, Merweville in terms of Section 60 of the By-law on Municipal Land Use Planning for Beaufort West Municipality, 2019 as follows:
- That approval is granted for a consent use on the Remainder of Farm 291, Tamboersfontein, Merweville, Beaufort West Municipal area.
- That the approval shall be taken to cover only the consent use applied for and shall not be construed as to depart from any other Council requirement or legal provision.
- That the approval will lapse after 5 years from the date of approval.
- That the mined area be suitable rehabilitated in accordance with the environmental management plan approved by the National Department of Mineral Resources once mining activities ceases and/or the approval period of the mine lapses, whichever occurs first.
- That this approval does not imply or give exemption from any other permission or approval, which may be required by any other law or authority.

Notice No. 96/2021: REQUEST FOR SUBMISSION OF OUTSTANDING INVOICES AND STATEMENTS TO BEAUFORT WEST MUNICIPALITY
Beaufort West Municipality urge all service providers to submit all outstanding invoices and account statements for the financial year 1 July 2020 until 30 June 2021 to the Budget and Treasury Officer by no later than Friday, 9 July 2021 in order to ensure that all expenditure relating to the 2020/2021 financial year is properly recorded and accounted for.
Invoices and account statements may be submitted in the following manner:
- Delivered by hand at the Office of the Director: Financial Services at 15 Church Street, Beaufort West
- By ordinary mail to Private Bag 582, Beaufort West, 6970
- In electronic format via e-mail to expenditure@beaufortwestmun.co.za
