Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 46(1) of the By-Law relating to Water Supply, Notice No. 148/2005 that the following water restrictions applicable to Beaufort West will be imposed with effect from 1 February 2022:-
1. That with effect from 1 February 2022 phase 1 water tariffs relating to water restrictions contained in the 2021/2022 tariffs will be applied.

2. That with effect from 14 May 2019 water tariffs relating to water restrictions contained in the 2018/2019 tariffs will be applied.
3. That in terms of Section 46(1)(c) of the By-law relating to Water Supply, Notice 148/2005, an overall prohibition on the use of garden hoses for the watering of gardens, wash of cars, fill up of swimming pools and or dams and for any other such purpose for which a garden hose must be connected to the municipal water supply system in Beaufort West be imposed with effect from 14 May 2019.
Last updated: 28/05/2019Notice is hereby given in terms of Paragraph 27 of the Credit Control and Debt Collection Policy of Beaufort West Municipality, that the Municipality will implement a full block on 16 November 2022 with regards to all prepaid electricity meters. Until the 15th November 2022 a partial block will still apply and the public is requested to ensure that their municipal accounts are paid up to date to ensure that the services are not restricted. The public is also advised to visit the Credit Control Offices at 15 Church Street, Beaufort West to make down payment arrangements, should they not be able to pay the full outstanding amount.
Last updated: 09/11/2022Beaufort West Municipality is required in terms of Section 18 of the Water Services Act, 1997 (Act No.108 of 1997), as well as the “Regulations relating to compulsory national standards and measures to conserve water”, as issued in terms of sections 9(1) and 73(1)(j) of the Water Services Act, to report on the implementation of its WSDP during each financial year and to include a water services audit in such an annual report.
