Notice no. 04/2021: CLOSING OF LIBRARIES FOR CURBING SUPER SPREAD OF CORONA VIRUS: BEAUFORT WEST MUNICIPALITY AND THE SURROUNDING AREA’S (MURRAYSBURG, MERWEVILLE, AND NELSPOORT)

Beaufort West Municipality Council has taken a resolution to close all libraries to the public to curb the spread of corona virus.

Beaufort West libraries and the surrounding areas will be closed for the public from Monday, 4 January 2021 till further notice. Members of the public can return library material and placed them in boxes that will be placed in all libraries. No issuing of library material will be conducted. No fines will be incurred for this period.

We thank the community of Beaufort West and surrounding areas for their co-operation in this matter.

Notice No. 130/2021: NOMINATION OF ONE PERSON TO SERVE ON THE AUDIT COMMITTEE OF THE BEAUFORT WEST MUNICIPALITY FOR THE PERIOD 1 JANUARY 2022 UNTIL 31 DECEMBER 2023

NOTICE OF TOTAL POWER INTERRUPTION IN BEAUFORT WEST:  

Sunday 28 November 2021, Sunday 05 December 2021 and Sunday 12 December 2021. This consist of three consecutive Sundays from 08h00 until 17h00

Due to important electrical infrastructure upgrading in town, power interruptions are scheduled for the above mentioned dates from 08h00 to 17h00.  During this period all installations should be considered as LIVE, as power may be restored at any given time.  If the weather does not permit the interruption to take place, it will be postponed to a future date and notice will be given accordingly.

Notice No. 14/2022: REQUEST FOR ALL INVOICES AND STATEMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED TO BTO

Service providers are urged to submit all outstanding invoices and account statements for the period ending 30 June 2021, to BTO, by no later than, Monday, 31 March 2022.

This is a follow up on the request that was made on 23 June 2021 on the same matter where municipal creditors were requested to submit their outstanding account statements by no later than 09 July 2021. The municipality is still faced with suppliers that claim to be owed by the municipality before 30 June 2021 relating to 2018; 2019; 2020 and 2021 financial years which the municipality has no knowledge of. This communique seeks to ensure that all the queries that the suppliers have on outstanding accounts are addressed before the close of the financial year.
