Notice no. 04/2021: CLOSING OF LIBRARIES FOR CURBING SUPER SPREAD OF CORONA VIRUS: BEAUFORT WEST MUNICIPALITY AND THE SURROUNDING AREA’S (MURRAYSBURG, MERWEVILLE, AND NELSPOORT)

Beaufort West Municipality Council has taken a resolution to close all libraries to the public to curb the spread of corona virus.

Beaufort West libraries and the surrounding areas will be closed for the public from Monday, 4 January 2021 till further notice. Members of the public can return library material and placed them in boxes that will be placed in all libraries. No issuing of library material will be conducted. No fines will be incurred for this period.

We thank the community of Beaufort West and surrounding areas for their co-operation in this matter.

NOTICE No.: 15/2021 SCM 27/2021: PUBLICATION OF NAMES OF BIDDERS IN RESPECT OF ADVERTISED COMPETITIVE BIDS, ABOVE THE THRESHOLD OF R30 000.00: SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF THE RENEWAL OF SOFTWARE LICENSES

After the closure of any advertised competitive bid, municipalities must, further to information to be published in terms of Section 75 of the MFMA, publish on their websites and notice boards.

The municipality should endeavour to publish the aforementioned information within ten (10) working days after closure of the bid and it must remain on the website of the municipality or municipal entity for at least thirty (30) days.

Notice 45-2021: Amendment of water restrictions - Beaufort West

Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 46(1) of the By-Law relating to Water Supply, Notice No. 148/2005 that the following water restrictions applied to Beaufort West with effect from 1 April 2021:

1. Phase 1 water restrictions provided that if a drastic decrease is experienced in the water table of boreholes, water restrictions will be reviewed.
2. That phase 1 water tariffs in respect of water restrictions contained in the 2020/2021 tariffs from 1 April 2121, will be applied.
3. That in terms of Section 46(1)(c) of the Water Supply By-law, Notice 148/2005, it will continue to apply to the use of garden hoses in Beaufort West for the watering of gardens, washing of cars, fill of swimming pools and/or dams for any other such purpose for which a garden hose must be connected to the Municipal water supply system.
