NOTICE TO INVITE PUBLIC COMMENTS ON DRAFT FINANCIAL RECOVERY PLAN FOR BEAUFORT WEST LOCAL MUNICIPALITY, REQUIRED FOR THE PURPOSES OF THE MANDATORY PROVINCIAL INTERVENTION

Notice No. 159/2021: IMPLEMENTATION OF WATER RESTRICTIONS: BEAUFORT WEST

Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 46(1) of the By-Law relating to Water Supply, Notice No. 148/2005 that the following water restrictions applicable to Beaufort West will be imposed with effect from 1 January 2022:-

1. That in terms of Section 46(1)(b)(i) of the By-Law relating to Water Supply, Notice No. 148/2005 the allowed water usage per household per month will be restricted to 15 kilolitre.
2. That with effect from 1 January 2022 phase 3 water tariffs relating to water restrictions contained in the 2021/2022 tariffs will be applied.
3. That in terms of Section 46(1)(c) of the By-law relating to Water Supply, Notice 148/2005, an overall prohibition on the use of garden hoses for the watering of gardens, wash of cars, fill up of swimming pools and or dams and for any other such purpose for which a garden hose must be connected to the municipal water supply system in Beaufort West be imposed with effect from 1 January 2022.

Notice No. 12/2022: IMPLEMENTATION OF WATER RESTRICTIONS: BEAUFORT WEST

Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 46(1) of the By-Law relating to Water Supply, Notice No. 148/2005 that the following water restrictions applicable to Beaufort West will be imposed with effect from 1 February 2022:-

1. That with effect from 1 February 2022 phase 1 water tariffs relating to water restrictions contained in the 2021/2022 tariffs will be applied.

Notice No. 14/2022: REQUEST FOR ALL INVOICES AND STATEMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED TO BTO

Service providers are urged to submit all outstanding invoices and account statements for the period ending 30 June 2021, to BTO, by no later than, Monday, 31 March 2022.

This is a follow up on the request that was made on 23 June 2021 on the same matter where municipal creditors were requested to submit their outstanding account statements by no later than 09 July 2021. The municipality is still faced with suppliers that claim to be owed by the municipality before 30 June 2021 relating to 2018; 2019; 2020 and 2021 financial years which the municipality has no knowledge of. This communique seeks to ensure that all the queries that the suppliers have on outstanding accounts are addressed before the close of the financial year.
