Description of proposal: Application in terms of Section 15(2)(b) of the Municipal Land Use Planning By-law for Beaufort West Municipality. This application is for consideration of a permanent relaxation of the northern and eastern side building lines from 30 meter to 10 meter applicable to Agricultural Zone I erven on the property known as erf 1, 2 Burger Street, Murraysburg for purposes of accommodating encroachment of the built footprints of a proposed agricultural building.
Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 45 of the By-law on Municipal Land Use Planning for Beaufort West Municipality that the above-mentioned application has been received and is available for inspection during weekdays between 07:30 and 16:15 at the Office of the Director: Corporate Services, 112 Donkin Street, Beaufort West. Any written comments may be addressed in terms of Section 50 of the said By-law to the Municipal Manager, Beaufort West Municipality, Private Bag 582, Beaufort West, 6970, Fax No. 023-415 1373, e-mail: admin@beaufortwestmun.co.za on or before 16:00 on Monday, 17 May 2021, quoting your, name, address or contact details, interest in the application and reasons for comments. Telephonic enquiries can be made to the Senior Manager: Corporate Services, Mr. P. Strümpher at Tel. No. 023-414 8103. The Municipality may refuse to accept comment received after the closing date. Any person who cannot write will be assisted by a Municipal official at the abovementioned office by transcribing their comments.

Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 60 of the Municipal Land Use Planning By-law for Beaufort West Municipality, Notice No. 21/2019 that the Authorized Officer has approved the application for permanent departure and relaxation of the southern and eastern side building lines on erf 1, Murraysburg from 30 meters to 10 meters, subject to the following conditions as imposed under Section 66 of the said by-law: -
(i) That the approval of the application will lapse, in terms of the provisions of the Municipal Land Use Planning By-law for Beaufort West, 2019 if the approval is not exercised within 5 years from the date of this approval.
(ii) That the required building plans in terms of the National Building Regulations must be submitted for consideration and that no construction work may take place before the building plans have been approved.
The reasons for my above decision are as follows:-
(i) The proposed development will not have any negative consequences for the built environment or surrounding owners and that the rights of use and the land use restrictions remain unchanged.
(ii) No objections were received in respect of the application.
Any person whose rights are affected by the above decision and or conditions may appeal to the Appeal Authority by submitting a written appeal to the Acting Municipal Manager, Beaufort West Municipality, Private Bag 582, 112 Donkin Street, Beaufort West, 6970, so to reach the undersigned within 21 days from the date of publication of this notice.
